The Nature de la Nature project in France continued a long-standing international collaboration that began for me with our meeting in Uniejów, Poland, in 2014. Since then, a community of artists, designers, teachers, and organisers has formed, continuing to explore the relationship between art, people, and the natural environment in different countries.

The locations, names, and formats changed — Uniejów, Inspiration by Space, Garden as a Space for Design, International Festival of Ephemeral Art, Innovative Space for People in the Park — but the principle of working together directly within a place remained.

In 2024, this line of work continued in France through the international Nature de la Nature project at Château de Restinclières in Prades-le-Lez. Artists from different European countries came together, and nature once again became an integral part of the creative process.

What matters especially to me is that the group formed through these encounters over many years remains active. We present the results of our explorations in different locations across Poland and other European countries, welcome new participants, and test the original idea each time in a different landscape and cultural setting.

My own relationship to these projects has also changed over time. At first, much of my involvement centred on organising international cooperation, working with students, and creating the conditions for shared practice. Gradually, my own artistic presence within these environments became increasingly important. My experience as a painter moved beyond the picture plane and entered into dialogue with the landscape, natural materials, light, the passage of time, and the changing character of each place.

I now see these encounters as one continuing process. Each new country or location poses the same question in a new way.
