After the Rain II is part of The Day After Tomorrow series (2022–ongoing) and develops the theme of the future as a space of possibilities emerging at moments of change.

The painting is inspired by a state of nature following a long period of anticipation — a moment when tension subsides and space opens for new beginnings. The sky after the rain becomes a symbolic environment of transition: light returns, clouds part, and what had previously remained hidden or motionless gains the possibility of emerging.

The soap bubbles rising into the sky embody human dreams, hopes, and illusions. Fragile and almost weightless, they exist on the threshold between reality and imagination. Having waited for a favourable moment, they leave the earth and ascend into the open sky — like thoughts and desires that have finally found the freedom to move forward.

In this work, the future is neither predetermined nor guaranteed. Like the delicate surface of a soap bubble, it remains vulnerable. Yet it is precisely this fragility that makes the moment of ascent particularly meaningful: hope does not deny uncertainty, but emerges from within it.

After the Rain II becomes an image of the transition from anticipation to movement — a moment when changing circumstances open a space for dreams, new beginnings, and the possibility of a different future.
